Part 1: The Super Connector with Founder & CEO of Cellibre, Benjamin Chiarelli
#55 Look Up! Weekly
“I think the legacy of real relationships, real connections is infinitely more valuable than a dollar.”
In this episode, I speak with my friend and mentor, Benjamin Chiarelli. Ben and I met when he was an Associate on the healthcare team at Jefferies (I was an analyst on the M&A team). For someone who generally disliked investment banking at Jefferies, Ben’s jovial demeanor was always welcome. He is someone who clearly valued the happiness of those around him and who carries that into all he does. I’ve always been impressed by Ben’s ability to drop everything in order to help someone (including strangers sending him LinkedIn messages). While most people struggle to find time to support strangers, Ben does this while CEO of a startup company with 14 employees that is changing the world of cellular biology and raising two sons.
I had to break this episode into two parts, because we spent the first hour speaking about our investment banking experience, the importance of relationships, living a life in service, focusing on legacy rather than financial remuneration, and more. In the next episode, we dive into the important work that Ben and his team are doing at Cellibre to make CBD cultivation more sustainable and its consumption more accessible.
